look at me now.

My name is Alex Ortega, or alexcreatedit. I am originally from Fontana, California.
Currently located in Irvine, California. I am a freelance photographer/videographer.

Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of experimenting with my family's digital cameras in the early 2000s. I remember my mom always handing me a camera when we went out too, I was going to ask for it anyways. But I fell more in love with it back in high school, around 2009, when I picked photography as an elective. I quickly learned there's a certain allure to the entire process - from composing the perfect shot to watching the prints develop before my eyes. It's a blend of artistry and technical skill that has always intrigued me.

Beyond photography, I find joy in exploring various facets of life - from watching every movie known to man to spending quality time with loved ones. Sports, particularly football, have also played a significant role in my life, I have played my whole life and now coach. Without football I wouldn’t be the man I am today.

In 2016, I made the decision to join the Army, where I dedicated four years of my life in service. During that time, photography took a backseat. However, upon leaving the Army, I found myself yearning to reignite that creative spark. Returning to photography felt like coming home, and since then, I haven't looked back.

There's a certain magic to photography that I find both fascinating and fulfilling. It's a way for me to document life's moments and grants me the ability to create a memory that will last a lifetime.

I approach photography with a blend of professionalism and laid-back enthusiasm. While I take pride in my craft and strive for excellence in every shot, I also believe in keeping things relaxed and enjoyable for my clients. After all, the best photos often come from moments of genuine connection and spontaneity.

I'm excited at the prospect of collaborating with you to create beautiful images that capture the essence of who you are. Thank you for considering me, and remember,

keep creating.
